Deep Meditation

I am not looking for someone to take care of me.
I am looking for someone who can take care of themselves.

True partnership is learning to care for each other.
True love is nurturing yourself as well as the one you love.

These are words that came to me one night in a deep meditation

One Night Stand

In a crowded elevator I become aware of your gaze
I look up into cocoa brown eyes
Smiling over horned rimmed glasses
I smile back shyly

We walk the long hallway to a room
Full of people we know
Doing things we do
The conversations flow

Well after midnight
We make our way back
down the long hall
up the crowded elevator

Down another hall
You key in the lock
And a kiss sweeps us away
Into dawn
